Our forestry operations focus on sustainable reforestation and responsible timber development. Through agroforestry, we integrate bamboo with food crops such as maize and cassava, supporting farmer livelihoods while generating renewable biomass.
KG Biomass leases degraded forest reserves from the Forestry Commission for reforestation. We are currently developing about 385 hectares of degraded land with bamboo and multiple species, for forest restoration and carbon sequestration.
Our target is to embark on the reforestation of 20,000 hectares of degraded land between 2027 and 2029.
Our forestry department carefully cultivates and supplies bamboo culms, a fast-growing and renewable source of biomass. Bamboo is versatile: it is used in construction and manufacturing, and as a source of biomass energy. Its rapid growth makes it a highly sustainable choice.
Revegetation and landscaping management
We partner with businesses, landowners and communities to restore degraded and underused land, planting native species that improve soil health, enhance biodiversity, prevent erosion and support long-term ecosystem resilience.
Through landscaping management, we design, establish and maintain green spaces that are both environmentally sustainable and visually appealing, for commercial, industrial and institutional projects.

Biomass aggregation and supply
We aggregate biomass from our own plantations and partner growers to ensure consistent quality, dependable volumes and reliable delivery.
Our supply systems are structured to meet the demands of industrial customers at scale, with strong quality control and efficient logistics.
Our biomass supply chain department manages the entire lifecycle of our biomass products, from sourcing and processing to delivery, and works to keep the supply chain efficient, sustainable and reliable, to the standard our clients expect.

Rough-sawn teak squares for export
KG Biomass produces rough-sawn teak squares for export from responsibly managed sources, for commercial and industrial applications. Our processing focuses on consistent dimensions, reliable quality and efficient preparation for international shipment, meeting the requirements of commercial and industrial buyers across global markets.
Integrated operations at Kwamang-Jeduako
At Kwamang-Jeduako in the Ashanti Region, KG Biomass operates an integrated agroforestry and processing site. Bamboo is intercropped with maize and cassava, and processed directly at source into bamboo chips and other biomass products.
We also operate a bamboo nursery, where high-quality seedlings are raised for sale to farmers, commercial growers and restoration projects, supporting the wider spread of sustainable bamboo cultivation.
This integrated model improves operational efficiency, keeps quality consistent, reduces transport-related emissions, strengthens supply reliability and promotes wider adoption of climate-smart agroforestry.
- Degraded land. We lease degraded forest reserve land from the Forestry Commission for reforestation.
- Bamboo planted. Bamboo and other species go into the ground. Our own nursery raises high-quality bamboo seedlings for farmers, commercial growers and restoration projects.
- Maize and cassava between the rows. Bamboo is intercropped with food crops, supporting farmer livelihoods while it generates renewable biomass.
- Bamboo established. The bamboo restores the land: it reduces erosion, improves soil health and biodiversity, and sequesters carbon.
- Chipped at source. Culms are processed on site into bamboo chips, which keeps quality consistent and reduces transport emissions.
